Medical imagery created from junk

Some of these “Heads” have quite realistic features, where others don’t. But if you have enough imagination, you can see ears, eyes, brains, jaws and many more human features in these junk-filled heads.

The portraits were created by the artist duo, husband and wife, Edwige Massart and Xavier Wynn. They have used found objects, such as (synthetic) resin, polyform clay and acrylic paint. The duo makes their art in their spare time: Edwige Massart works as an Art Facilitator for developmentally disabled, her husband Xavier Wynn as a marketing Creative Director.

The purpose of this “Heads” series?

As explained by Edwige Massart and Xavier Wynn themselves, its “a surrealist exploration of portraits created from memories, found objects and a fascination with medical imagery.
