Travis Bedel, also known as Bedelgeuse, is a mixed media artist that creates amalgamations of the human body, flora and fauna. His work is described in different ways, but mostly as a form of communication between body and nature on different levels.
The materials and methods he uses lie between cut-out paper collage and a completely digital version, the latter of which he often keeps changing whenever he likes. Sometimes he goes back and forth between paper and his computer, cutting and resizing them, leading to pieces varying from “5 inches to 6 feet”.
As Travis himself describes: “Most of my work represents love, loss and letting go.”
